Gwen Ellen (Cawley) Davis

Taylor Funeral Home of Gibson announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Gwen Cawley Davis, age 58 of Mitchell, who died Monday, January 2, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017 at Mitchell Full Gospel Church with Rev. Jacky Downs officiating.  Gwen will lie in state in the church from 1:00 PM until time of service. Burial will follow in the Mitchell City Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be:  Jason Perry, Vernon Perry, Edward Parnell, Douglas Phillips, Jimmy Akers and Matt Mullins.

A native of McRae, Ga., Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Glenn Cawley and Ann Ruth Batchler Cawley.  Gwen was a Pharmacy Tech with the Davisboro State Prison.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her son, Kyle Davis; granddaughter, Aaliyah Davis; grandsons, Alexzander Davis, Trver Davis and Kyle Davis, Jr. and brother, George Edward Cawley, all of Mitchell.

The Davis family will received friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017 in the funeral home.
