Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Juanita Davis Cofer, age 84 of Zebina Road Louisville, who died Sunday morning, August 14, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2016 in the Louisville United Methodist Church with Rev. David Hibberts and Dr. Bill Daniel officiating.  Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be:  Mike Cofer, James Davis, Brian Rabun, Owen Miller, Neal Miller and Steve Reagan.  

A native of Wrightsville, Juanita was a daughter of the late James W. Davis and Pearl Gibson Davis. Mrs. Cofer was a homemaker and involved in Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Jackson, SC and the Louisville United Methodist Church. She was active member of the United Methodist Women, where she had held several offices including President. For many years she taught Sunday school and Bible school and was a Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Cofer Worked tirelessly alongside of her husband at the Louisville Food Pantry.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles H Cofer, Jr.; brothers, Charlie Davis, Jimmy Davis, Johnny Davis, Willie Davis and J.P. Davis; sisters, Sadie Sammons, Inez Waller, Jeanette Tanner and Ann Rabun and beloved granddaughter, Mary Allisun “Sunny” Brock and is survived by sons, John  (Judith) Cofer  and Jerry Wayne Cofer, daughters, Diane (David) Barnes and Julie (Billy) Sargent all of Louisville; grandchildren, Tanya Cofer (Isidor), Kari Johnson (Alan), Jennifer Young, Matthew Barnes, William Charles Cofer Sargent (Ashley) and Bonnie K. Wormsley (Dan), 7 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way several nieces and nephews.

The Cofer family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2016 in the Funeral Home.
