Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Georgie Hamilton Ondik, 92, of Perry, GA, who died Wednesday morning, February 21, 2024.
A native of Cartersville, Georgia, Georgie was the daughter of Ralph L. Hamilton and Annie McCrary Hamilton. She was a retired personal secretary, at one point serving as the personal aide to the Adjutant General for the State of Georgia. While working at the State Capital she met her husband Albert John Ondik, and they married in 1951. Shortly after they moved to Pennsylvania where they lived and raised their children before moving to Wrens, Georgia in 1984. They eventually settled in Jonesboro, Georgia where they lived until moving to Perry, GA with their son David and wife Whitney in 2005.
Mrs. Ondik was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert John Ondik, 5 brothers and 1 sister. Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her children David (Whitney) Ondik of Perry, Carol (Jimmy) Bennett of Wrens, and Dennis (Stephanie) Ondik of St. Paul, MN, Grandchildren Michael (Emily) Ondik, Valerie (Corey) Forrest, James (Heath) Alexander-Bennett, Ella (Ben) Wynett, Weltha (Zack) Paquin, and Noah Ondik, Great-Grandchildren Max, Sage, and Ava Ondik, McKenzie and Edward Forrest, and Wren Paquin, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
