Taylor funeral home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Betty Jean Wasden, age 83 of Highway 1 north Louisville who died Friday morning October 4, 2019 in the Silver Linings Personal Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 7, 2019 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Melchior officiating. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Gary Smith, Michael Wasden, Ricky Wasden, Mitch Woods, Larry Stanley and Wesley Wasden.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Betty was a daughter of the late Harry Williams and Gertrude Melton Williams. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, the Philatheia Sunday School Class and retired from First National Bank and Trust after over 30 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Y.E. Wasden, sister, Ruth Smith, brothers; Ed Williams, Jim Williams, Dennis Williams and is survived by her sons and daughters in law; Alan & Lisa Wasden of Louisville, Douglas & Kim Wasden of Flowery Branch , daughter and son in law, Karen & Robert Yonchak of Louisville, grandchildren, Clayton Wasden and his wife Jenny, Logan Wasden, Faith Wasden, Elly Wasden, Ava Wasden, Anna & Emily Yonchak, great grandchild, Wesley Ann Wasden, several nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to extend special thanks and appreciation to the staff of Silver Linings Personal Care Home and Regency Hospice for their care.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
