Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death & funeral services of Mrs. Nora Lamb Kitchens, age 102 of East Peachtree Street Louisville who died Friday evening September 6, 2019 in the Jefferson Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday September 10, 2019 in the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. Jonathan Melchior & Mr. Larry Morgan officiation. Burial will follow in the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Williford, Denny Livesay, Tony Otis, Josh Otis, Matt Otis & Todd Smith.
Mrs. Kitchen was born September 13, 1916 in Jefferson County and was a daughter of the late Lawrence Lamb & Rhoda Marsh Lamb. She retired from the Louisville Shirt Factory after 39 years of service. Aunt Nora loved to read her Bible, fish and her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Willie Thomas Kitchens, sisters, Hattie, Celia Mae & Susie, brothers Elbert & Eli and is survived by grandson, Larry & Marsha Morgan of Louisville, great granddaughter, Nichole & Sam Lord of Martinez, great-great grandson, Brayden Lord, several nieces, nephews & cousins.
The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
