Violet Neal

Taylor funeral home of Louisville announces the death of Mrs. Violet Neal, 80 of Academy Circle Bartow, who died Friday evening March 1, 2019 in the Jefferson Hospital.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday March 3, in the  Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Tracy Neal, Clay Neal, Ronny Hinson, Mitchell Hinson, Mike Jones, Robert Earl King & Chip Evans.

Mrs. Neal was a native of Macon but had lived in Jefferson County for many years. She graduated from Jones County High School and retired after many years as a bank teller with the Bank of Wadley & Regions Bank and was a member of Bartow Baptist Church.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Mitchell Moore & Viola Avery Moore, husband Horace Richard Garrett, Jr., and several siblings and is survived by husband, Billy Neal of Bartow, sons & daughters in-law, Lester Ray & Cindy Bryant, Jr., of Wadley, Randy James & Laura Garrett of Macon, stepsons, Richard Paul & Melody Garrett, of Cocoa beach, FL, Tracy & Ann Neal of Wrens, Clay & Karen Neal of Bartow, 5 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Those desiring in lieu of flowers family request memorials be made to Bartow Baptist Church 7634 Church Street, Bartow, GA 30413

The Neal family will receive friends 1:30 to 3:30 PM Sunday prior to the services at the funeral home.
