Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mr. James William “Billy” Horton on Sunday, June 19, at his home in Beaufort, SC. 

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 22, at 2 pm at the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home in Louisville with Rev. John Ohmes officiating.  Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Louisville.  Pallbearers will be Josh Horton and Glen DeGraff and friends.

Mr. Horton was a native of Adrian, Georgia and a son of John Robert Horton and Willie V. Walker.  He worked as a parts salesman for 30 years with Augusta Bumper and Glass and was a member of St. Simon’s Baptist Church.  He loved fishing, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. 

Billy is predeceased by his parents, brother, John “Bobby” Robert Horton and survived by his wife of 43 years Teresa Horton, Beaufort, SC, sons Bill Horton (Lee Ann) of North Augusta and Kelly Horton of Ottawa, TN, daughters Melissa DeGraff (Glen) of Augusta, and Lee Ann Hall (Mike) of Martinez, a brother Wayne T. Horton of Vidalia and 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, from 12 to 2 pm at Taylor Funeral Home Louisville.
