Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of and funeral services of Mr. Michael T. Wasden, age 60 of Louisville who died Wednesday afternoon August 23, 2023, in  Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, at 3:00 pm  in the Louisville First Baptist Church with Mr. Bill Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be Warren O. Wasden, Bill Murphy, Daryl Pickard, Jack Garrison, Corey Robinson, & Jamie Anderson. Burial will follow in the Louisville City Cemetery.

A native of Louisville Michael was a son of the late Warren W. Wasden and Betty Proctor Wasden. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and Swainsboro Tech. He worked 39 years as an engineering technician with Jefferson EMC. Michael had a passion for flying and was a member of the Louisville Flying Club, American Model Aviation Assoc., Experimental Aviation Assoc., and Vintage Aircraft Assoc and was a longtime member of Louisville First Baptist Church. 

Mr. Wasden was preceded in death by parents a brother, Warren E. Wasden and is survived by sons, Baron W Wasden and Jacob A. Wasden, both of Acworth, brother and sister’s in-law, Wesley P. & Sadie Wasden of Eastman, Richard l. & Jan Wasden of Louisville, his companion of many years, Brooke Randolph of Hephzibah, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.

A visitation with the family will be from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Saturday at the Church prior to the funeral services.
