Olin Netherland

Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and services of Mr. Olin Culbreath Netherland, Jr., age 90, of Louisville who died Thursday, March 18, 2021, in his residence.  

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2 o’clock in the Louisville City Cemetery with Rev. John Russell and Rev. Jonathan Melchior officiating. Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. A native of Burke County, Olin was the son of the late Olin Culbreath Netherland, Sr., & Erma Davis Netherland. He was a retired farmer and a member of Louisville First Baptist Church and the T.W. Wilson Sunday School Class, the Augusta Harley Owners Group. Some of Olin’s best days were spent fishing on the Georgia Coast and traveling in the family RV.  

Mr. Netherland was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gwen Moxley and a granddaughter, Josi Anna Blackburn and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sally Ree Jones Netherland of Louisville, daughters & sons in-law, Jone Netherland Salter (Alf) of Atlanta, Jan Netherland Blackburn (Steve) of Waynesboro, granddaughters, Anna Marie Blackburn & Sally Kate Blackburn, of Waynesboro, several nieces, nephews and friends.
