Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death of Mr. RE Fortner, age 85, of Old US Highway 1 Wadley who died Monday Morning February 1, 2021 in the Pruitt Health of Old Capital in Louisville.

Private Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 6, 2021 in the family plot of Wadley City Cemetery.

A native of Johnson County, Mr. Fortner was a son of the late Benjamin G. Fortner & Martha D. Stapleton Fortner. RE retired from Fulghum Industries after 36 years of service as a Welder. He was a member of St. Johns United Methodist Church.

Mr. Fortner was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Reba Emily Black Fortner and is survived by sons Raymond & Susan Fortner, and David Fortner, grandchildren: Devon Fortner, Amelia Fortner, and Hannah Rose Fortner, several nieces, and nephews.
