Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Tonya Elaine Hodges, age 54 of Moxley Bartow Road in Bartow, who died Wednesday March 31, 2021 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Friday, April 2, 2021 in the Midville First Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Cox and Rev. David Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Moxley United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chase Hodges, Phillip Hodges, Christopher Ramey, Lane Bradley, Bill Cooper, and Chip Evans.
Because of the family’s concern for public health and safety during this pandemic, the family requests that social distancing and other safety precautions be followed. The wearing of face masks is required. Service can be viewed on the Taylor Funeral Home website at www.taylorfhlouisville.com
A native of Midville, Tonya was the daughter of the late Herman Q. Sikes and Elaine Hilton. Tonya was a nurse for 32 years and was employed by Physicians Health Group Louisville and Wadley for 25 years. For the last 2 years she was the bookkeeper at Hodges Machine Shop and was a member of Midville First Baptist Church.
Tonya was preceded in death by her father, and survived by her husband 33 years Clay Hodges of Bartow, daughters, Kristen (Michael) Henney of Millen, Kayla Hodges of Bartow, mother, Elaine (James) Hilton of Midville, sisters, Tara (Earl) Bradley of Midville, Trina Ramey of Midville, and one beloved granddaughter, Scarlett Henney, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
The Hodges family will receive friends Thursday, April 1, 2021 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
