My parents, my brothers and I loved the visits from Bubba. Always the best time and conversation with him. He always liked talking to my Dad about Mr. Shelton Foster and the time when my Grandfather and my Dad worked in the road construction business with Mr. Shelton and also their connection of their North Carolina roots. We will miss him so much.

Dear Joanna, Anna Marie, and Elizabeth,
I was heartbroken to get the news of Bubba. He was such a dear soul who had such a sweet grin and big bear hug for me whenever I saw him. He had a special tenderness and compassion that I'll never forget. I will miss him so. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Burt, Alex, and I send our love and wish you the comfort that only God can bring at times like this.

Words can't describe my feeling of loss at getting the news that Bubba had passed. Not only did we go all the way through school together, our parents were friends, and essentially, we were raised together. The folks of Wadley and surrounding areas never had a more staunch ally than Bubba. We have all lost a dear brother. Prayers to the Joanna and the family. R.I.P. buddy, we will meet again one day.
